Bright Lights for Africa places its utmost emphasis on the widespread dissemination of love and joy among individuals who are in dire need.
Feed a Family
No one should have to go hungry, especially in a world with as much wealth as ours.
Bright Lights Feed a Family initiative in Calgary, AB aims at providing healthy nutritious meals to those experiencing food insecurity within our network.
Stakeholders frequent support makes this initiative a constant reality. Supporting this cause by means of your donations, ensures families are fed within the city.

Help Us Empower Francophone Women — Reclaim Their Power and Lead With Purpose
Femmes Actrices du Changement: Transforment les défis en opportunités is a women’s leadership program that empowers Francophone women of African descent in Calgary and surounding areaas to heal, grow, and lead with purpose.
Participants come together in a safe, culturally affirming space to reflect on their personal journeys as women, immigrants, and leaders. They share stories of resilience, grief, and hope during sessions like Healing Through Mourning, connect across languages, cultures, and lived experiences, and begin reclaiming their voices while stepping into leadership with intention.

Equipping Young Minds for Success
Help Us Equip 130 Children for Success — One Backpack at a Time
Our Soutien à l’Éducation: Kit de Rentrée Scolaire provides Afrodescendant Francophone children in Calgary and surrounding areas , ages 6 to 17, with the tools they need to succeed — including backpacks, school supplies, and essential learning materials.
This initiative ensures equal access to education and helps each child start the school year confident, equipped, and proud, all at no cost to families.
In 2024, we supported 100 children. This year, our goal is to equip 130 children with everything they need to thrive.
